Cristo Redentor
The view from Christ the Redeemer is worth every one of the 700 metres up Corcovado.
It started with a swipe. We matched on Bumble and met for a first date at a Takashi Murakami exhibition at the museum in San Francisco.
One exhibition turned into an all-day adventure — up and over Nob Hill, down into the Mission, talking until the city lit up. By the end of day one, Sally had even learned her first words of Portuguese (in the diminutive, naturally).
A few years and two passports later, we're bringing everyone we love to Rio to celebrate. Brazil, Australia, and everywhere in between — we can't wait to see you there.
Ceremony and reception, under one roof — a colonial mansion with gardens above the city. Saturday, 27 March 2027.
A long weekend of celebrating. Your invitation notes which events you're invited to — keep an eye on the colour tags.
A relaxed welcome on the beach — sun, sand and good company before the weekend gets going.
An intimate dinner with immediate family.
Ceremony and reception, under one roof at Mansão Alvite in Santa Teresa — dinner and dancing until late. The main event.
Coffee, coconuts and slow goodbyes before everyone heads home.
Each invitation has a personal RSVP link, sent over WhatsApp — it shows you just the events you're invited to. We'll share the reply-by date soon.
Open my RSVP ↗Photos to come — we'll fill this with our favourites after the big day.
Come early, stay late. Here's where we'd send our favourite people while you're in town.
The view from Christ the Redeemer is worth every one of the 700 metres up Corcovado.
Ride the cable car up Pão de Açúcar at sunset for the best panorama of the bay.
Claim a spot on the sand, order an água de coco, and watch Rio go by.
Cobbled streets, artists' studios and the famous tiled Escadaria Selarón — our wedding neighbourhood.
The world's largest urban rainforest — waterfalls and trails minutes from the city.
Towering palms and quiet corners — a green escape from the summer heat.
Everything you need to plan the trip. Reach out if you'd like a hand with anything.
Most international guests fly into Rio’s international airport, Galeão (GIG); Santos Dumont (SDU) is mainly for domestic flights. Routes and times change — check current options when you book.
Our venue is up in hilly Santa Teresa. For charm and proximity, look at Santa Teresa pousadas; Botafogo, Flamengo or Catete balance access and amenities; Ipanema or Copacabana are the classic beach base (around a 20–30 minute ride). Specific recommendations to follow.
Uber and 99 are easy, affordable and the simplest way up to the venue — Santa Teresa’s streets are steep and winding, so share the map pin with your driver. More transport details to follow.

A joyful mix of Portuguese and English — just like us. Key moments will be shared in both languages so no one misses a thing.
Entry requirements vary by passport and can change, so please check the official rules for your own country well ahead of time, and follow your government’s travel advisory. If you need an invitation letter for your visa, just ask.
We’ll share the dress code soon. Plan for a warm Rio evening in a garden setting — there’s grass underfoot, so you might skip the stilettos.
Late March in Rio is warm summer. Pack light, breathable clothes and good sun protection, and check the forecast closer to the date — a tropical shower is always possible, so a light layer doesn’t hurt.
It depends on the event — your invitation notes which events are family-friendly and includes your little ones by name. If you’re unsure, just get in touch.
Honestly, your presence in Rio is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you'd like to give something more, we've set up a virtual registry — every contribution helps start our next adventure.
